Bridgestone (31st March 2020) today announced the launch of POTENZA RE-71RS. Developed with advanced technologies used in motorsports tyres, POTENZA RE-71RS is a street legal and circuit driving tyre that offers superior cornering grip performance, precise handling and enhanced durability.
RE-71RS features Bridgestone’s exclusive tyre technology “ULTIMAT EYETM”” that optimises the asymmetric tread pattern and tyre shape to ensure maximum contact patch during cornering, which contributes to an enhanced dry grip performance and increased speed. With low angled grooves design in the inner side of the tyre shoulder, RE-71RS delivers an improved steering response during cornering – a thrilling steering experience that enables drivers to take sharp turns with precision. The shoulder block featured on the outer side of the tyre shoulder and its asymmetrical tread design improve wear resistance to provide extended tyre life.
In tests comparing RE-71RS to previous generation POTENZA tyres, the results demonstrate that RE-71RS offers faster lap times on dry courses in particular, and extended tyre life.
